Mulled Wine – serves 6-8 people

- 1 bottle(750 ml) of Shiraz or dry red wine
- ¼ cup brandy
- 1 orange cut in half, then sliced
- ¼ cup honey
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- 10 whole cloves
- 4 star anise
- ½ tsp nutmeg
- ½ tsp all spice
Combine ingredients in sauce pan and stir occasionally as you bring the mixture to a soft boil. Simmer 1 min and serve in a coffee mug garnished with a cinnamon stick and orange slice from pot.
Tip: Mixture can be made in advance and kept warm on stove top to serve as guests arrive.
