Mulled Cider – serves 6-8 people

- 1L cloudy apple juice
- 1 cup Scotch or favourite whiskey
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- Peel of 1 orange
- 10 whole cloves
- 4 Star anise
- ½ tsp nutmeg
- Garnish: Cinnamon stick, Apple slice
Combine ingredients in sauce pan and stir occasionally as you bring the mixture to a soft boil. Simmer 1 min and serve in a coffee mug garnished with an apple slice and cinnamon stick.
Tip: Mixture can be made in advance and kept warm on stove top to serve as guests arrive.
